rivets, you should have used rivets to secure the hugger. jk
i bought my hugger 2 years ago for 100, that thing looks mad frail but it never had the issue that you came across. since it has two screws and 2 hooks, I just finger tighten them.

I think this one is better... REAL carbon fiber, if you can afford a little over $100 more in price. This is the one I'm planning to get!
