Dragon is a great experience. Alot of fun for sport bike riders and sport cars. But definitley go during the week. Crusiers and slow riders and everyday traffic get to be a pain. Some of the Harley and crusier riders will try to block you if you try to pass them. But definitely go. Everyone should go at least once. I live about 2 hours away and have ridden it many times. I have never had a boring ride up there.

I wouldn't worry about that. If we had twisties like that up in South Bend IN I wouldn't want to go to NC. You won't be the only slow mover at first.

I think it would be very intimidating the first time there. I would love to take the wife on a vacation and make a stab at it. Just to say you've ridden there, you know? Maybe someday, when both of our skills are better. The furthest east/south I have ever been is Texas, so it would be very cool to expand my experience in my own country.
