Default Downshifting...multiple gears at once?

Bear in mind my other point of reference is a Ninja 250....I've noticed that when I'm downshifting coming up to a light I feel like I'm slipping from 3rd down to first sometimes..is this from putting too much pressure on the shifter while downshifting or a potentional issue?

if your slipping from 3rd to first then you might have a tension problem. also you might want to check the alignment of your shifter rod and drum. i know if they are not aligned properly then the shifting can sometime have some quirks.

Too much pressure shouldn't be an issue unless you're a yokozuna or pro lifter
in fact you should always change gears cleanly rather than softly.

I stomp my downshifts, in fact I stomp them a few times just to make sure.

Have you been riding/riding this bike long? Last year I was looking at buying a Ducati and when I test rode it I was missing upshifts all the time and almost didn't buy the bike because of it. I bought the bike and after about a day of riding and getting used to it, it never happened again.
