I guess i ride easy. I still have over 2/3 of the stock brake pads left at 12k miles. No custom paint just some particulars like lights and gears. To each his own, i just like to ride.

Sure, do you ride differently because of it?

Not really... it cost around $50 to do... I figure if I lay the bike down, a $50 paint job is the last thing I'm worried about.

Now if I had something like Rojer's bike, I'd probably take it a ton easier to try to keep the paint free of chips and scratches and whatnot. But then again, that's why I went with a rattle-can and not an airbrush

HEHE, right. I don't think i'll do a custom paint job cause I don't want it to alter my riding style. Which is a fast as I can handle

i dont understand why a custom paint job would alter anybody's riding style? My previous roommate and i spent a lota time on his bike and he got his zx6r custom painted but he didnt ride any different. If you're riding hard and you drop it, the last thing you would care about is the paint and/or the money you put into the paint job. So just paint it if you want man. ya kno? Thats wat i think...

OH btw, that same friend that custom painted his zx6r dropped it 2 days after he got it painted...on BOTH SIDES lol. BUt he didnt regret one bit that he got it painted.
