Here is another angle. This bike is not mine (someone else on this forum though-can't remember who) but I thought I'd post it anyways.

Yeah, they do look really good. I don't mind my seat the way it is, but I hope they get in gear and make them for the '06 model, even though the prior ones are the same. They only have them for the '05s and before, but don't offer the '06 colors: blue and yellow yet.

So what do you think of it? How exactly does it attach to the bike, do you have to unscrew this seat cowl to take the seat off? Also, is there any sort of rubber trim or anything where the cowl touches the paint on the bike? Does the seat cowl scratch or rub on the factory paint.
my bike doesn't have the banana seat, so i'm afraid i don't know the answers to these questions.

Thanks for posting. I've gone ahead and ordered one just to see what it looks like. I figure that if the whole thing looks hokey I shouldn't have a problem selling on Ebay. I've also purchased some OEM decals to put on the cowl so it looks factory. I'll post some pics when I get it.

Thanks!

You can get them from anywhere practically. Ronayers.com or Bikebandit.com, for example. I got them from the same guy that I bought the seat cowl from. He deals in OEM parts as well. I'm hoping the decals will make it look original. I've heard some horror stories about these things flying off while your riding though. I hope that doesn't happen to me. This is an expensive piece of plastic.

How does the cowl attach to the bike? I see a screw up front. Do you have to drill any holes?
