Hey guys,

Sorry I am sure this is probably common knowledge and covered a few times, but what are the differences in the two generations of the f4i? Basically, I am looking at undertails for my 01 but I keep seeing that there are different options. Is it just the rear tail, or there other differences?

06 has an O2 sensor, regardless of whether or not it's a Cali model

 

Frame/subframe color is silver on the 04's and up.

 

01-03 are faster than 04-06

 

Tail/seat is the main diff.

performance is all debatable lol

 

So is it possible to swap the tail/seat from a 04+ onto my 01?

 

sure... in fact you may find someone who wants to trade. the usual direction is to convert from the banana seat to a split. I think the tail from a 99-00 F4 should also fit.

Plenty of seat on the 04-06

 

Ah yes, it may feel like that, but its' thin sleek design is more aerodynamic than a mushy nanner seat; Therefore, Faster! lol
