Default Difference Between 600 and F4I

Whats up guys i am new to the forum and new to the whole bike world. I have been searching around for my first bike and really like the look of the cbr's.

I keep coming across the 600's and the 600F4I's, whats the difference? My friend was telling me that the F4I is a slower version of the regular 600 and was saying how its "not a real streetbike," which i think he is wrong because they look exactly the same!

Well please let me know and prove him wrong, thanks!

Are you talking about the 600RR and the 600F4i? They don't really look similar at all. The RR has a much more aggresive stance, and other differences like inverted forks, radial front brakes and a list of other things. Both are outstanding bikes.

you need to ask yourself what type of riding your going to be doing, I can see how someone new to sportbikes would think they look the same but as you learn more about the bikes you see the differences. Go to a shop and sit on a couple, the f4i's last year was 06 so maybe you could get a left over, either way you'll end up with a sweet ride.

Ill only be riding the bike on the weekends and here and there on the weekdays, wont be going to the track or racing the bike at all, just something to cruise on.

i just read those other links and it seems they have the same engine only the rr was tuned differently to suit more of an aggresive race type bike whereas the f4i is more like a weekend cruiser. I guess it just comes downt to which style i like better and which is more comfortable for my needs, thanks for the help!

What year do you think was the best for the f4i?

if your new to sportbikes, the F4i will be way more than enough for you. ask your "friend" why would honda use them as their race
bikes several years ago if they werent real bikes?

As for which is the best- my preference is the '01-'03? because it has the split seat. the newer ones have a onepiece that I
think is ugly as $hit past that they are all exaclty the same as far as I know.

also the F4i is alot more comfortable than the RR to ride, except maybe the '07RR, it is more relaxed than previous RRs

Don't worry about performance, the F4i will have more than enough to meet your needs for going for cruises and rips.

Basically what it should come down to is which bike do yougenerally like thebest, and are you willing to sacrifice comfort to go with the RR?
