daytime running lights

I just bought a 2006 cbr 600 f4i and only 1 daytime running light works. Yet, when i turn on the lights both turn on. Is this normal?

I appreciate the help.

That's the "night-time running light", which is always on.
Turning on the lights is the "day-time running lights; which will be both lights.
Yes, that's normal.

Night time running lamp????

The F4i is setup with one low beam and one high beam. Low beam is always on which is the DRLs. High beam side does not have a DRL just the low beam. You flick the switch for high beam

Your absolutely literally correct.
(I was speaking in the language of the poster. Sorry for the translation.)

Download an owners manual and read it, it will answer a lot of these questions. Give these forums a quick search to find a download URL.

Actually makes sense if you think about it.. just takes a second. Low beam for night riding, and high beams for day riding for those of you who do that.

But yea most sport bikes only have one headlight running when you start the bike, and the other is your bright (high beam).

Bahahaha... this reminds me of - this thread - :icon_lolsign:

Search, search, and search again. There are very few general issues that haven't been covered by a previous thread. Granted the search feature for this site leaves something to be desired.

That's funny actually, because I've been riding around with low-beams during the day and my high-beams during the night and not one car has flashed their high-beams at me haha. I see other bikers doing the same too

Well they could have their headlights modded to run both at the same time on low beam. But I myself don't ride with both on at night because I know how bright these lights can be.
