the dark side beckons... :P
So I was just cruising home and tailing a car at a good following distance... being nice... [sm=innoc.gif]feeling listless. slowly started from a stop light and got up to like 20mph... the car was a little ways ahead. So I thought let's get to the speed limit (30). Just pulled the clutch in and gunned to maybe 7krpm, and powered out the clutch... the front just floated right off the ground! [sm=wootwoot.gif]I'm not a stunter, definitely not on public roads... didn't get too close to the car... no cops around...
BUT the inadvertent wheelie felt so GOOOOD.... [sm=vader1.gif]
uhhh... I've said too much [X(] no.. shouldn't have said that.. wheelie on a public road noo... []

Never underestimate the power of a wheelie....
Try 1st gear, scoot back in seat, wack throttle open, close it, as the forks rebound wack it back open and you are up. Of course you could also flip over backwards so keep your back foot ready to slam the rear brake.

I must confess there was a slight upward grade, so the front end floated up easier than from a flat road...
In 1st: get up to 15-20mph. You need to pull in the clutch so you can rev up the throttle. Get the rpm beyond 7-8k (best to get used to the sound of this instead of watching your tach). Then let the clutch out. For a smooth raise, let it out over say 1/2 to 1 sec, not just pop it out. As you release it, roll on the throttle to keep the rpm from dropping below the power band...
Before this, make sure your tires are warm, you're on flat, 'high-grip' pavement and you have your back brake covered.
Initially you can just try taking off from 20mph... and work up to more and more power
