incompatible,

It' s louder than the stock exhaust but not obnoxious loud. I have a short clip on you tube. I don't have a sound meter to let you know exactly. I use earplugs when riding, where when I rode with stock exhaust I didn't really notice the exhaust. With the gp extremes I know its there and the sound is awesome, but its not HD loud if you know what I mean. On a city street block you can probably start hear me coming from 2 1/2 - 3 blocks away I guess. don't know if it helps. I'll try and post more sound clips when riding down the street its raining here though.

My concern is that I leave for work at 6 AM in a heavy residential area and I don't want to irritate my neighbors (to much).

@ incompatible,
Same here, I wake up at the same time sometimes and don't want to bother the neighbors. I saw on the danmoto site they sell a db/baffle noise reducer for $15 bucks. So if anyone ever complains to me I'll just buy that.

Have I got a story for you:

I was riding around an hour or so ago and I blasted down one of the main roads on campus really giving a good wack. As soon as I let off around 45-50 in first gear, my bike gets instantly louder.

It wasn't before another ten seconds and one turn later before I realized it was the sound of my bike running without my exhaust anymore... What I think happened was the back pressure of me letting off the throttle so quickly combined with a very poor job on my part not clamping it tight enough.

The sound of metal scratching the street when I made then the turn and then as I slowed down the muffler finally caught the ground and my bike began to tip. I did not have good footing and I had to gently set her down before quickly picking her back up. So lame.

Long story short, wheeled into a nearby parking lot looking like an idiot, called a friend to bring me a socket wrench, and I put the slip-on back on and reclamp it when POP.

I broke the screw.

Here's a picture of it:

Here's one up close, slid up the pipe:

The screw is bent SLIGHTLY so I can't get it out right now and it's raining so I can't do much until tomorrow. Any ideas? I want to get the screw out so I can just get a replacement at Lowe's or something. Would anybody suggest getting a new clamp or something? It doesn't seem like DanMoto sells clamps individually.

that exhaust sounds real crisp and clean... i watched your vid and by your mid pipe you had blow by with that danmoto down pipe. was it just the vid being shaky and outa focus or was the flange not tight all the way...

over all i think is sounds better than the cf danmoto with less breakup....

AAAAAAAA++++++ on the buy and looks great. dont really like the brushed look. maybe alittle powder coat and heat wrap would set it off.. just a thought and opinion.... awesome....
