I've got to start putting my helmet in the house at nights from now on. It's been in my garage on a shelf.
Yesterday I was riding to work on the freeway and all of the sudden I see something big crawling around on the inside of my visor. Instinctively I tried to wipe it away from the outside but no luck. I had to pull over and take my helmet off. That sucker was big! I don't know where it was for the first 10 miles of my commute but it decided to come out and terrorize me half way to work.

I too have spider problems in my garage. Eggs here, webs there. Spiders everywhere.
I leave my gear inside my house.
I usually don't kill the spiders unless I see that they are trying to colonize in my garage--which incidentally happened recently. I went on a murder spree. LOL.
They just won't go away though.
Oh, well. Mother nature usually wins anyway!

Few months ago I was riding in the country and I had my helmet visor slightly opened. All of the sudden something was sucked in and all I could see was some big wings flattering between my eves and the visor.
I was lucky I was alone on the road, pulled immediately by, and took off the helmet.
A 3-4 cm big (the body was rather small, but the legs and the wing was big) mosquito just flew out...
p.s. - yes, I know that was a male mosquito, and they don't bite - just the female do, but it was definitely not a pleasant feeling...
