So while my bikes in storage this winter, my buddy wants to paint it. I really dig that cherry red metallic on the newer R6's, so I'm thinking that would be a good base to start from. Just not too sure my F4I would look good all one solid color. Any ideas on how to break it up a bit, I'm not a huge fan of the Honda wings.Maybe some sort of sleek decaling?Here's a pic as it sits now. Feel free to get creative!!

my opinion on the matter is dont paint over those plastics and tank even if you dont want them there worth a good penny. i would wrap them up carefully box them and store them.

buy a tank off ebay, and some cheap abs plastic fairings this way hey if you wreck you have an extra set or if you dont like it or sell the bike you can go back to stock.


for a paint job. well my dream paint job is to paint the bottom of the fairings to looks like flames and like hell. the to have souls trying to claw there way out and getting dragged back in.

 

try all banana yellow with metallic flakes and high gloss
chrome dip the rims, slap a few honda decals on and call it a day

I would concur with 95camaro01f4i, either keep the fairings/tank you got, or sell them. They're too nice to paint over. Scrounge up some used plastics, and your friend can make them like new again (or better).
