Default Custom headlights?

So ive been on the hunt to figure out a way to make my headlights look better. Well sinse i love the RR front end so much, i figured why not make it look like it then. Well this is what i thought of. I was wondering if i could use like a high temp black paint to cover the plastic headlight cover. i have embeded some pictures and where the blue tape is, that is the area i would like to paint. I wasnt going to start the job untill i got some feedback on what others thought. thanks guys.

Use black electrical tape so we can get a better idea of how it will look. I wonder how it will look with the lights on.

i say leave the lights stock. i personally like the look of the stock lights. and if you want to design smaller lights, start with something that truely has a "holy **** thats HUGE" light. like the 929. lol

well i dont mind the headlights, i just want something different. After looking at it more, i kinda like it. I turned the lights on and it comes through the tape but im sure if i use thick i temp paint it wouldnt come through.

I couldnt find any electrical tape, so i just covered the blue with some black in Word paint. Looks sloppy but im sure if it was smooth it would look pretty sweet.

I kind of like your idea, but how well will your lights work at night after painting the housing? Try taking it out at night and see if there is a difference. Also check out 1tail.com they have a headlight cover thats red for $60. Mabye you could cut out a design that looks like the RR. Just trying to give you some more ideas before you paint your light.

Heres the link to show you what I'm talking about 1tail

I like the idea too. Maybe try different configurations of where to put the tape before you paint. Could be that you can block a decent portion of it without losing a huge amount of light, maybe run with high beams the whole time to without blinding oncoming traffic.

Good luck.
