Default Curiosity got me!

Well no better place to ask this question than these forums haha.

If Im not mistaken, CBR 600F4i's are verry popular stunt bikes right?

If so then, Why is this?

Not a stunter, but I would guess because after market. They made the bike for more than 2 years so there are lots of cheap parts.

I hear a lot of people joking that the engine is bullet proof..stunting isn't easy on the engine...

It probably has to do with $. You can ususally find good used f4i's for pretty cheap and they are well known for reliability.
Dont quote me on this but I believe the gearing is a little lower than most, making it a little easier to learn on. ?stretch?

I also herd that suzuki, kawi, and yami have oil issues when getting them to a near 12 o'clock wheelie!!!! I read somewhere that the oil dosent make it the pistions compared to riding with two wheels on the ground! Apparently f4i's dont have that problem!!!

Just my 2 cents!!! Plus the F4i has a pretty strong motor!!!

The early SV650 suffered from oil starvation in the 12 o'clock, rumour has it that they improved with the new generation.

The F4i motor is wonderful at handling constant wheelies. As bwf4i said, the motor doesn't starve for oil. Cheap common bike, good aftermarket (especially for stunting).

Ive read the same thing for other bikes. The oil pickups are different so it doesnt circulate oil to the pistons. Most bikes have some problems with that though. I think with the CBR you can run like a quart over the regular amount. The engine being stronger or lower geared makes sense as well.

Do we have any stunters on the forums?
