Couple of downfalls of the F4i

RE: Couple of downfalls of the F4i
My F4i isn't a commuter. It's a track use only race machine..............but thanks for the input.
I'm going to try the gilles tooling rearsets I think. I only need another probably half inch. They are adjustable where the rearsets i run now are not. I'd also like to pick up that shift kit and possibly switch to GP style shift. Last weekend was my track days of the year so I'll have all winter to tinker. Hoping to go back into WERA next year if the money's there.

RE: Couple of downfalls of the F4i
bird...what mods do you have on the F4i?
1. gear the bike according to the track...you put that bike that's pulling from you on a different track that's more suited for your ratios...then this wouldnt' happen.
2. flip that bird upside down, reverse shift...never pop out again.
3.any suspension mods?will cure this.not an issue.
my f4i was semi built, with parts where it needed. granted i did not run in advanced group (not a racer), she held awesome and pulled on all sorts of bikes in and out of turns. i did have scarping issues where i was scraping my akra midpipe through turns, but after setting up the suspension...no issues whatsoever.
it's a very capable bike.

toe sliders are titanium, call whatever you want!
suspension is setup, but using stock springs. I'll be upgrading to race tech springs if i keep the bike, looking at an 05 R6 right now.
Have considered more aggressive gearing, but right now am running 1 down 3 up

RE: Couple of downfalls of the F4i
My F4i has beaten 95% of the other 600s I've raced (drag racing, mind you), and kept relatively close to a few 750s.
Though I think that says more for the rider than the machine, I'd say the F4i has plenty of go to keep up with most 600s. (The couple bikes that walked me were 06 GSX-R and 07 600RR with similar mods, such as gearing / PCIII / exhaust / filter / etc).
Which reminds me, I need to save money to have my PCIII tuned at the start of next season. Then she'll really purr.

Yes jaybird180 you figured me out...........I don't even own a bike, i just come here for attention!
Anyway I was really hoping to get some feedback on problems I've seen from my bike. Some of you have seen similar problems, thanks at least I'm not totally crazy.

dude, jaybird hit it on the nose.
if you had so much experience as you say you do, why the heck are you still on stock springs? your rear and front should all have been resprung.
every item you had an issue with i gave you a solution.
your problems, and others experiencing it, could be solved by understanding the bike more and working on your technique.
old a$$ f4i punking liters, new rr, r6, etc. on the track....FRICKING AWESOME to see.
