Default Corbin Seat

I just got my Corbin seat in after 4 weeks of waiting for it. WOWcan i say what a different from the stock brick. Plus the look of it. (carbon fiber and red piping) I got the whole package too. Front, rear andbackrest for the wife. She loves her seat too on my 2002 F4I. It set me back $703.00 bucks. But it makes riding the bike so much better. I did have a little problem with the reat seat. Getting it to lock in place. I couldn't get to lock as it came.I did call them and talked to service tech. Which they told me to hit on the seat to get to lock. I did many time and no luck. So I asked if I could just take a round file to the rubber bumper and just take a little off. They said go ahead. I only did a little at time. till with hitting on the seat I got it to lock in.

I was thinking of the same seat for my F4 (well, kinda the same) but 703 bucks, why so much? I email corbin Canada and they replied with:

Pricing for part number CBR6-99-GL is $339.00 and can be built using any of the colours and materials that Corbin offers.

There would be a $129.00** freight charge and it usually takes about thirty days to get the item to you.

The subtotal price would be $468.00 and the total price including GST would be $491.40.
And thats the one with the removable rear seat rest too.

Eaither way, congrats on the seat, I'm one jealous bastard.

Is that price with the removable backrest? I orderd right from Cordin, so no middle man. Anyways well worth it. Front saddle (HF4I-F) $259.00 Rear saddle (HF4I-R) $189.00
Oval backrest (02-SB) $229.00 and for shipping was $26.00

I don't know how you guys can spend so much money on just the seat. It just doesn't seem logical to me, but then again I have yet to sit on a corbin seat. If I had $700 to spend, it sure wouldn't be on the seat. The stock seat doesn't really bother me anyways. Well, I'm glad you're happy with your purchase, jet.

Stright from http://www.bikerider.ca/ Which is Corbin Canada.
I had to go to Corbin USA website, grab the model number, then e-mail Corbin CAN with said model number.

http://www.corbin.com/honda/99cbrf4_gnl.shtml is the model number I got the e-mail about, I know its the Banana seat, but I can't believe there is such a price difference.

Well the money was hard to come by. But with gas price the way they are, and not getting better I'm sure with hurricane season coming. I plan to be putting the miles on the F4I. So I decided to stick the money (or my rebate check into it) Doing my end to get the economy going. I went for the big costed upgrade first, so the power commarder and angle eyes are up next on the list of goodies.
