For $600 I can come up with a whole bunch of ways to carry somethingn on the back of my bike. A $25 backpack and a $7 cargo strap go a long way and it leaves you with an extra $568 to spare.

It does look nice though. Just not practical for me.

 

true, but that front seat does look comfy. they almost had it, if they made the smuggler trunk more like a pillion cover and integrated it more into the lines of the bike (removing the hand grab) it would have been perfect for me.
