Default cooler weather = better preformance???

pretty much like the title says but here in st louis the weather has been really chilly the last couple of weeks in the morning around mid to high 50's & low 60's and when im on my bike she just seems to be running crisper and cleaner

is this just in my head or do you guys notice any difference too??

and if its just in my head i guess it would be cuz i love to ride first thing in the morning and im just so pumped and it just seems to be running better idk though....

Clearances will be tighter in colder weather. So if there's any slop at all (even an unnoticeable amount), the colder weather will bring clearances closer to spec. Thus the bike will feel 'tighter'

And the cold air is more dense, and you get more O2 in every x amount of air, so the engine will be a little happier.

+1. However watch your cornering. Colder weather gives you a little more power and a little less traction than you're used to.

Yep. Cold weather is good weather. But make sure your tires are warm or take it easy when you turn.

Ya, you get better engine performance, but less tire grip. Its a trade off.

Answer is yes. Any heat degrades or robs power on your bike. Cooler you keep it(to a point) the better its going to run. Forgot the name of it( think its" engine ice") for your radiator that keeps it 15-20 degrees cooler works great to keep it cooler also.
