I was curious if it is possible to convert the 05 (banana seat) tail to an 04 (split seat) tail. I was wondering if all the bolts and clips matched up or not with the frame and stuff. because i want to switch my 05 to a split seat. thanks in advance.

 

u mean 01-03 seats rite?? 04-06 is the same seat...u'll need pretty much everything from the gas tank and on...search around theres been previous post about this

 

I know i'll need everything from the gas tank back but i was wondering if the screws and clips from the plastics will match up with all the same holes on the frame and stuff. Because i just want to change the plastic to get the split seat but i didn't know if it took any major modifications to the frame and or anything.

i tried searchin but didn't find what i was looking for.

so i pretty much have to get a new gas tank all plastics and lighting and seat? Then everything else will fit right on there right?
can i swap everything from a 01-03 cbr, did they change the frame or anthing inbetween that time?

 

UMM. NO NEED TO SWAP TANKS same from 01-06...u'll need the rear sub frame, tail light, rear cowl, undertray(battery box),seats...and i think u'll might need the rear half for the wiring, not sure? might be wrong.....or for short get everything that bolts on the subframe(including the subframe)
