Default Clutch Cable

Question? I have an 02, does anyone elses clutch cable go directly infront of their digital display? Half the time I dont know if Im going 70 or 78 because my cable goes directly in front of my speedometer? If any of you have this problem how did you solve it? Ive tried zip ties but every time you sqeeze the clutch it pops right back in the way.

Thanks in advance!

yes, every f4i does that.
you can use wire or part of a hanger and clip one end to the bolt on the clip on and the other on the cable itself to pull it down.

Yah someone posted about this before. There is some cable thats pre-made that holds it back for you. Do a search for it. But who needs a speedometer anyways. If your not speeding, your not riding. lol

totally agree but I work for the City Fire Dept and I just got my first ticket in over 11 years, I cant afford another one, Also I live in the country where the roads are 30-45 mph but once your comfortable on them you look down and the gauge says your crusing at 80! It just doesnt feel so fast after a while!

that cable is stupid. just move your head around or just tilt yourself forward. its not that hard i believe.

The whole point of my thread was that I dont want to have to adjust! Can I? Sure its what Ive been doing, however I want to be able to just look down at the speedometer and see my speed without having to shift on the bike or push the cable down. If there is a decent way to fix this design flaw then Im all about it.

route the cable through the hole between where your upper fairing bracket bolts to the head of your frame. its free and you still have the same feel of the clutch.
