I installed Gilles light clip-on above the triple clamp. It does rub slightly against the plastic intake cover but it doesn't get in the way for me. I'm also able to lock left/right. Definitely there is a difference in weight between stock and aftermarket where the latter is lighter. In addition, I had to get heavier bar ends to minimize the buzzy-ness, which is inherent to lighter clip-ons. I do like the aggressive, forward-weight stance of the aftermarket clip-on.
