Well, I have a F2 streetfighter and F4i forks supposedly swapout. Blew my 2nd set of seals cornering this year. I am 210lbs and want to get into road-coursing, better to learn it on a F2 than a new bike. What did you have to do or use for R1 headset bearings to fit on the F4i. R1 forks are way cheaper than F4i inverted forks.

oh yea man at 210 ide def go inverted im at 135 and i feel the difference at 210 im sure ull feel ALOT stiffer...

anyway... join and search stuntlife they have write ups on the swaps because stunters do them on a regular basis...

if u do go r1 they list the bearing u need...

600rr
954
and r1

ide go with rr or 954 before r1 just because with the r1 u have to convert ur

forks, triples, front wheel, rotors, and brakes....

I thought I would have to replace the front end anyways. Bigger brakes on the F4i than the F2. Thanks for the help! I don't care if I have to bastardize my bike to run better and learn new skills.

Notice how not a single high ranking actual amatur racer ever swapped inverted forks onto their F4i? Theres a reason for that. Re-spring the stock forks and see how it goes. You migh need rebound vavles after the re-spring but I don't know as Im not close to 210.

Couldn't have said it better. Well said.

There is nothing wrong with the f4 works. Respring them to your weight, will with some nice synthetic fork fluid, and go riding. The compression/rebound dampning adjustments will be a little "numb" compared to a brand new sportbike but you'll be fine.

I ride a f4 as my track bike and love it. There are nothing wrong with the f4(i) brake calipers either. Alot of people like to "upgrade" their bike just for the bling factor. It's not needed.
