Default Changing Sprockets

Ok I have a 2002 F4I and I did some reading but not quite sure the best ones to pick. I want to change my sprockets to get more low end power. So I can wheelie easier. I know stock is 16/48 but what is the best to go with -1 in the front and +2 in the rear? Thanks for any help you might give me.
Also after I do that will the speedo healer fix the Odometer so it reads the correct speed?

First off, the speedo healer will fix anything you do with gearing for the most part. It needs to be done from factory, cheap bastards.

If you're after wheelies, then you picked the right answer already, -1 +2 is the standard combo. This will cut down your top speed and raise your RPM at cruising speed so keep that in mind. I have a -1 and -2 I swap out on the front from time to time to play with. -2 in the front is really noticeable, but the smaller you get in the front, the longer your wheel base is. That makes it hard to wheelie.

Stock is 16/46. Maybe you already have a +2 on the back?

i have a set of sprockets -2 +2 and wow i hated it ..gotta shift every 2 seconds and my top speed was like 75 mph screaming, im going to try -1 +2 and see how it is, here is a good chart to show you the different ratios.

I went up 3 on the rear and left the front stock, easier on the chain. Also there is a chain link calculator that takes chain size, sprocket size, and the distance from centers and gives you the best number of links to use to keep it the same length, or close too. Let's see if I can find it again.

I've got a brand new AFAM -1+2 kit with an EK gold Xring chain, if you want to give it a try. 150. Pretty badass kit, I bought two, decided to sell one.

Hey Black is that chain all ready cut to fit? What would be a total cost to ship it to East Haven CT 06512? If it isn't that much sure I'll give it a try. If I don't like it i can always put my orignal back on.....Or keep it on untill I learn how to wheelie..lol
I also whet and looked at that link for the gear chart but its all greek to me.

just changed to a -1,+2 vorteck sprockets and RK gold 520chain, and goddam that thing is power wheelier in firts, and if you get it right will power up in second (though easier to clutch)... i am now doin about 6500rpm at 100kmh instead of 5500rpm, which i dont mind, i carry a pillion alot, and its good for the extra pull, makes riding in the city great, not alot tries to run over you at the light.... was a great mod and love the look of the vortek rear....

peace
