you should pay to have a shop do it, since I am assuming that you dont have a stand, or tools, or manual, or mechanical skills

Someone on here wrote a guide, search for it. If you haven't even a modicum of mechanical ability then I recommend having the shop do it for you.

are you guys serious? this is about the easiest thing to do. Just loosen the axle, and turn the bolts sticking out the back of the swingarm. It's cake.

I heard you don't want to unload the suspension while adjusting your chain. It's pretty easy to adjust your chain by yourself. Loosen the axle nut, and screw the adjuster bolts stickin out of the rear of the swing arm all the way in, and then unscrew them by half turns evenly then 1/4 turns if need be, until the chain is up to spec. Then begin to tighten the axle nut, recheck the slack before tightening it all the way. And you're good to go.

I was very serious, the last thing I want to see someone do is forget to tighten their rear axle back down because they have no idea what their doing, or to only turn one of the adjusting bolts.

you should find the tightest part of the chain too. or else the chain could snap

i dont have a stand andyou dont need it to tighten the chain. just follow the directions in the manual and you wont have any problems with it. but you need a 27mm socket im pretty cure which i had to buy. and for the stand.... u dont need it to tighten the chain but i use 2 bottle jacks that i have laying in the garage and saved money that i would of spent on a stand.
