Default Chain and sprocket kit suggestions

i dont think i need to or want to go to a 520 so im looking for a 525 kit and steel sprockets. What is good or easier, what is bad? Im also looking to save as much as I can but want quality. Bought my bike last year and the chain was pretty rusty. Put 3k miles on it and it is fine but it looks like crap and i dont know how long its been on so im going to replace it as well as sprockets before this season. suggestions or ones to stay away from. Where is a good place to buy from?
Links would be good as well.
thanks
Mitch

Get a renthal front sprocket they cost more but make less noise and saves weight without compromising strength. As for the rear Supersprox makes some badass sprockets the center is aluminum and the teeth are steel check em out. I got the 520 it will hold up just as good if not better than stock chain.

Here is the chain I got in yellow-http://www.moto-chains.com/site/898528/product/ek520mvxz

the chain wasnt THAT rusty and I oiled and lubed it and the mechanic said it was still solid but I just thought it looked bad on the outsides. A few rust specs here and there. What im saying is I want a super shiny and clean looking chain this year. SUGGESTIONS????

I do take care of my bike. You cant even see any rust in any pics I took of it but I just think it looks old and I want one that looks new.

Any brand name chain [RK,DID etc] with steel sprockets will last a long time. If you go with some aluminum sprockets I'd go with renthal.

If I get a 520 with stock sprocket sizes, what will I be losing or what are the advantages and disadvantages? How much life difference is there? How many mph will I be off at 25? 60? with a -1+2 520?

Im just confused as to what to do. I know speed kills and im trying my hardest to not be flying at triple digits so losing top end isnt that bad. Maybe I should put a pizza pan sprocket on the back so it tops out at $70.. LOL idk

the 520 conversion is for saving some weight and reduce rotating mass as far as sprocket sizes you can get the same sizes.
most people i have talk to(because i haven't done it yet) said just go down 1 on the front sprocket if your just riding street it makes first gear a little taller which equals less shifting from first to second in the twisties
and as far as your speedometer, its off when you get your get your bike yellowbox speepo healer is your friend
