RE: Case Paint-What Color?
I did some searching and someone mentioned a "pewter" color name from a brand that escapes me right now.
I had an idea today; get a refillable aerosol paint can from Harbor Freight and mix my own paint from high-temp enamels. Shouldn't be too hard to mix something up that is at least pretty close.

It is a powder coat and can't be bought as a touch up paint. I know because like many I dropped my bike in the garage and went through all of this. I also had to have a tail section painted. Honda does not supply the dealerships or anyone else with paint and colour rite sucks. Anyway I ended up buying a new stator cover through Honda and it cost me 50 bucks which was a lot less than it would have been to have the thing refinished privately.

Rabbit, its been about a year and it looks like the day I did it.
Just used some good quality epoxy paint in Gloss Black. The only
hard thing was that you have to remove the fairing and (blue) tape
off the area about a 1" down in a circle. Other wise youve got this
squidish look.BTW, I actually custom mixed up some paint by going to
a craft store and got some 2oz bottles of Gold, Black, and Green
paint. Use the Gold as the base and add the Black and Green to taste.
But then, WTF, IMO, it looks better black anyway.

Do you happen to remember what brand paint it was? As stated the cover is aluminum, and you can't spray just anything on aluminum and expect it to stay there. I don't have to worry about masking off the area due to the fairings not being on the bike, and the engine not even being in the frame. Thanks for the help.
