Cages

Cages are designed for low speed dumps - mainly lot stunters and such. They will drastically reduce how far you can lean the bike, and if you scrape one mid turn at a decent speed you could really screw yourself up.
And again, it protects the bike if dropped slowly. Little to no damage if so. If you drop it at 30 mph, it'll most likely cause the bike to flip over, thus putting all the damage on your upper fairing, tank, etc.
Not recommended for street riding. Pretty much required for stunting.

Tygershark makes a street cage and a stunt cage. Both are good and both have plenty of clearance for riding streets. The Street cage has a little more clearance. Stunt cage has lifetime warranty.
I got a Sick Innovations cage on my f4i now, It is great for protecting the bike in the lots and has more than enough clearance to ride on the streets. SI is probably the best all around cage. It can take a beating. I attached a pic of Turtle doin some drifting with an SI cage, you got a lot of lean with the SI, i dont think you'll be leaning that far on the streets.
The older powers stuntworx cages are also good, I say the older ones because they were built similar to SI. New powers cages wraps underneath the bike which does limit your lean, and the connector plate at the bottom to connect the sides bottoms out on the ground all the time.

If you plan on going to the track you probably wouldnt want to have those on. You considering frame sliders at all?
