RE: Bye Bye F4i.. Hello RR
Personally i like the naked look. The Yamaha FZ1, the Honda 919...very nice looking bikes, imo. I like seeing the engine...but i like a nice, sleek, fully faired bike as well.
Makes sense that you'd reduce the fairing to save weight on a sportbike. I mean, if it's only creating more drag and more weight, why would you even have it? The only thing i can think of is that it would enhance aerodynamic stability at speed...but if you can get that with less fairing there's really no reason to have a big one when a smaller one will do the same for less weight.

Super sweet deal bro!
You are 1 lucky SOB!!
WE expect a full report on comfort, power (we all know how that is going to turn out) and handling.[sm=smiley20.gif]

Initial thoughts..
Light ! First thing when I sit on it and raised it off its stand was "wow this thing weighs nothing".
Second thing I notice was the seat. Much more padded and comfortable then my F4i.
Power.. a noticeable improvement over the f4i. Mid-range is excellent. (more later when break in is over)
Rider position is also very good. The 07's raised clip-on height by 10mm compared to the 06. I can see why they have done away with the f4i after riding this bike. Its only a slight compromise from the comfort of the f4i but with a whole lot more added in way of power, handling and styling.
Handling - Still scrubbing in the tires so no real review here till I get the suspension setup by a pro and a few miles on the tires. But just cruising it is really smooth and flicks around like a champ.
Overall this was the best move I have made. I questioned my decision all the way up to when I took off on the bike. Now I'm thrilled !

Has anyone noticed that the fairings of sportbikes have gotten smaller each year and they only get better looking. Do you think Honda could make a sportbike without any kind of fairing at all? Why am I typing this when I could just be introspective and just think this? Why am I still typing?I need my medication.
