I bought a chatterbox substitute...
a pair of GMRS walkies - $26. ear warmer earphones with a stereo-mono adapter - $18. free cellphone handsfree for mic. makes up a great system compatible with $200+ chatterboxes! plus the walkies find use during hiking/boarding. I'd recommend it.

and a teknic jacket and winter gloves and...

Tuition for my Masters in business (about 30K). That leaves about -28,000.00 dollars for mods and fun [&:]

Maybe a power commander to help my low end power loss with my LOR.

Check these boots out:

Cheap, comfy, and good protection. I wrote a quick review on them in the review section. They are not black/white. More of a black/silver. Love them!

Are Shinko tires considered to be cheap?

The shop I purchased my bike from put a new Shinko on the rear wheel.

LOL, I guess it is best to use the 'cheap' stuff when your trying to sell a bike!

Yes, Shinko is mega cheap. Watch your butt in tight corners, I've heard those tires like to walk...

What would be a good tire for the money?

Pirelli, Michelin, Dunlop, Metzler, Bridgestone are all good tires.

Your also forgetting Continentals Conti Raceattacks are great tires.

On the contrary, Shinkos have actually been proven to be excellent tires considering its price. Granted that you are not going to be getting Pilot grip or Bridgestone's predictability, what you are getting is a solid reliable tire that will do what you ask it to do (within reasonable limits )

I think I might get a Power commander, but Two Bros. makes something called a Juice Box designed for Two Bros. pipes. So I am going to look into that too.

Have you been running your bike with a slip on and no power commander? I have a slipon in the mail but money is a bit tight and I dunno if a power commander is in the cards. I know running a pipe without a PC isnt ideal, and that you lose low end power, but does the bike run well otherwise?
