RE: brake Upgrade
arent the 954 calipers and the F4i calipers the same ? they look the same to me....... and i see some people list them as 929-954-F4i ..............
if you have F4i Pazzo levers and want to do the swap to either the 954 master, or a brembo unit do you have to get a new lever ?
thanks

RE: brake Upgrade
no if u use the 954 master u dont have to change anything. if u go with the brembo u have to use the banjo method as described above. cheaper to do the 954 master. you can find them all over the internet all day long.

Not cheap but if you can afford the Brembo MC you can afford the $100 to make the brake lights work like they should. I'm sure some crafty person could make this themselves given enough resources.

RE: brake Upgrade
thanks for the info...
that brembo setup is just awesome. I would like to go with a wave rotor however, if they weight saving isn't that much, i wouldn't mind doing a complete brembo setup.
Question, i noticed that some of the brembo MC's have different ratio figres or numbers associated with then. Came any shed some realistic light on this? From reading on brembo's site, they state that the number dictate the amount of travel... anyone want to add some real world experience with this?
Also, what are the stock rotor sizes anyways?

RE: brake Upgrade
The numbers are the size of the bore and the lenght of the stroke.
19 is the stroke length.
18-20 is the bore.
20 will give you a very firm feel at the lever with the least amount of travel.
18 will still be plenty firm but you will have to move a touch farther to move the same amount of fluid.
19x20 is a bit over kill for a street application.
19x18 will offer you the best feel for street/track use.
There is a 19x16 as well i believe but every street going Brembo set I've seen is the 19x18. An 04 and up R1 uses a Brembo 19x20 just as an FYI.
YOu can now purchase an adjustable 19x18,19,20 Brembo. Nice. Expensive, but NICE!!
