brake rotors
So....I am looking at the bike today, gathering my list of things I need to do for maintenance this winter and on that list is new brake pads.....
Anyway, got to looking at the rear rotor and it is not totally smooth like my front one. It doesnt have any deep grooves or anything, just a slight uneveness and a couple shallow, barely noticeable grooves throughout the rotor. My question is, do I need to replace the rotor as well as pads, or should this issue correct itself once the new pads have broken in.
Thanks.

well i looked over at my rear rotor and it's not that smooth as the front ones, so i think that since the rear is used a lot less then the front it tends to have those small grooves and even rust...

Nope, rear rotors aren't that big of a deal. You want them adjusted in a way that they can't lockup anyways. Once the new pads bed in, they will conform to the rotors wear pattern.
