Brake Fluid specifics???

I recently learned of a great way to bleed brakes. Works better than anything I've tried.
Forget the speed bleeders. Go on e-bay and find a large medical/industrial syringeabout 60 ml will work. They're cheap so buy several. Put a clear hose on the syringe about six inches long and draw all of the fluid out of the master cylinder reservoir and discard it. Fill the syringe with fresh fluid, open the bleeder valve and force the fluid back into the reservoir from the caliper end. Repeat as necessary.
This works so well that it really changes the feel of the brakes and a hydraulic clutch, if you have a bike with one of those. (Not on the CBR, but my Aprilia has one.) Here in Florida, brake fluid loads up with moisture and has to be flushed at least once a year.

Well, you're probably right. The product I used wasn't the SpeedBleeder brand but a similar idea. It worked okay and was fast, but left enough air in the line that I couldn't get out to make me think it's not the best.
The syringe method, on the other hand, makes a dramatic difference in the feel of the brakes. It really gets all the air out. It usually takes two cycles to flush everthing. Five minutes at most. Works well on the clutch, too.It can be a little messy, though.
