Default Brake Fluid Level dips and rises????

I've searched already.

WHen my bike is off and sitting on it's side stand, the brake resevoir appears full. When I start driving and give some throttle I can see about 2mm worth of air bubble (emptiness??) at the very top of the resevoir clear window. When I start applying brake the fluid level dips to just below the "low mark" in the window. Is this normal?? I'm going to guess this is normal as the master cylinder is using fluid to apply the brakes.

My question is should I try to put more fluid in? It appears full already when it's just sitting on the sidestand. I just got flipped out today going down the interstate and applied some brakes (while in full tuck) and since my eyes were level with the resevoir I just happened to notice the fluid level dip down when I put on brakes. Sort of freaked me out. My bike is new and I've never really paid any attention to the resevoirs on other bikes. Is this all normal???

you're ok. remember that the forward momentum of your braking also pushed all the fluid away from the little filler glass window.
should probably change to SS lines if you haven't done so.

I plan to. Just a bit scared since I've never bled brakes before and everything I read talks about how caustic brake fluid is to paint etc. Scares me to even touch the stuff. I've ordered Galfer lines and galfer fluid and goodridge speedbleeders. I've just got to muster up the will to actually change them. I'm afriad all the stuff is going to sit in my garage for a few months till I can get over the fear of changing the lines.
