Bogging from stop after installing Delkevic DS70 slip on exhaust
Hey guys!
So I have a 2002 Cbr 600 F4i with around 7100 miles, no power commander. I just installed a new slip on exhaust, the Delkevic ds70 carbon, and everything was running great for a while, good throttle response, idle at around 1300.
About 2 days after installing it, my bike started bogging down when accelerating from a stop in first gear. After a couple seconds, it goes back to normal and runs like a champ. It runs perfect in all the other gears. I just cant figure out why its bogging down.. especially because it was running fine before.. I was thinking it could be running too lean or something..
Anyone have any ideas/dealt with something similar?
Thanks!
Side note: I think its just a coincidence, but my reserve fuel light came on right around the time it started bogging down, could that have anything to do with it?

that's interesting .. do you have the intake ducts on still or are they removed??
could be a airtemp issue. warm sensore cuts back on fuel till it cools down actual temp
could try resetting your ecu pulling power and letting it discharge
dirty filter???
spark plugs seated coils seated properly/tight spark plug age?/miles?
what model do you have cali model or 49 states model...O2 sensor or not?
just random thoughts about it

Demon: I'll fill up tomorrow and see what happens :x
stlcbr600f4_newb: I didn't know you could modify the intake ducts on an f4i, i thought that was just the 1000RR (im assuming you're talking about the flapper mod) .. as for the airtemp and ecu; how do you reset an ecu on an f4i? I know on a car you just unplug the battery for a bit, but no idea for the bike.
I made sure the plugs were seated when I changed the CCTs, and I'm assuming they're the same age as the bike. I bought the bike used at 6800 miles about 2 months ago, and the previous owner never really did anything to it (the oil and brake fluids were disgusting). and it doesn't have the O2 sensor that i know of, unless the guy did the sensor hotwire thing to get rid of it that i havent found.
oh, and I'm at about 7100 miles right now

people pull the ram air duct from them sometimes.. previous owner of mine did and i hate it. when your bike sits at a light it pulls hot engine air... unless you run with out the cover that normally hide all of it.
streetfighter bikes it gets done on all the time
