Default Bike won't turn over/start

Hi, I'm having issues with my f4i it's just been for a full service went out on it and everything was fine, parked it up at home and now it won't start, everything turns on and I can hear the fuel pump priming and the starter relay click. But when I hit the start, the starter motor tries but the engine won't turn over/start. This has happened once before, a week before the service. But I assumed that it was because I ran the bike longer than I have before on the reserve tank. So I topped it up to half a tank. Still nothing. Then a day later it started no problem. Now I'm having the same issue.Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.Or a list of trouble shooting ideas for me to check out.Thanks.

Do following measurements:

1. battery power with everything OFF, volts = ???

2. battery power with key ON, stop-switch=RUN, volts = ???

3. battery power when pressing start-button, volts = ???

4. As test, jumpstart bike with known-good auto battery. One that starts car just fine. Leave car off, we are just borrowing its battery. Wiggle jumper cable clamps after installing to get good grip and conductivity. Do same 3 measurements above with auto battery connected.

Thanks, I'll check those tomorrow as I drained the battery trying to start it plus the weather is crap today. Will post voltage results tomorrow.

I tested these on a fully charged battery,
Off 12.1vOn 11.9vStart 9.8v

Can't test with a car battery as don't have access to one.

Yup, dead battery.

Note when getting new battery, you have to charge it for 24-hrs before using. They don't come charged and needs to be topped off before use.

Well, tried the new battery and still no luck. Also drained the fuel from the tank and it's squeaky clean in there (did fill it back up before testing the battery) tried to bump start it several times with nothing. Not even one cylinder fires. Any other suggestions of what might be wrong before I lift the tank to check deeper?
thanks for any help.

What happened to the “charge battery for 24 hours before use”?

I put it on charge for a few hours. Charger read full and charger switched off charging. Can only assume it's fully charged.
