Default Are big fairing bikes (F4i) more susceptible to sidewind than RR?

Since only bike I’ve ever ridden is F4i, I was wondering if the size of fairing makes difference in sidewind. As a newbie rider, it’s quite challenging to ride in windy days, especially for corners. (and it feels weird that the bike is leaned while going straight then wind suddenly changes the direction & I panic…etc).
It seems all the new sportbikes have minimal fairing (which I like their simple look).

Its the same on a 03 600rr 07 1krr andon my 06 f4i.. what i tend to do in windy days is when you feel a gust give it some gas and steer into the wind slightly, but not to much just enough to compensate for it.

winds gonna effect the bike no matter what, if you have more fairings or less fairings. look at the moto gp they have race fairings all the way around there bikes. like schira said lil more gas and steer into it just a lil

Bikes are not designed arodynamically from the sides... the wind hates all of us equally.

fairings dont make a difference, but weight does. The lighter the bike the easier it is to be blown about.

So if you are worried about wind you should get a big, heavy Harley.

No matter how old/mature I become, I don’t think I’ll ever ride a Harley just to beat the winds. heh… but I like Buell (1125R)…
So, I guess size of fairing doesn’t make any noticeable difference in sidewinds. Thanks all.
