Default Best way to get spare key made

Today I was opening up my gas tank and my key snapped in half leaving a piece in the gas tank. Luckily I was able to pull it out (big headache lol) and I have a spare key.

Since I only have one key now, I want to get another spare made. I called up my ace hardware and asked them if they cut bike keys- they said they do but I need to get a blank. I was wondering if it is ok to just order a blank from ebay and have it cut? I have an 02 F4i. Any help would be appreciated. And here is a pic of current key (it is not an original, at least I don't think it is).

Here is a link of the keys I was looking at on ebay.

Take it to a locksmith and have them cut you a new key. They have the blanks there. I paid $10, not worth ebay and trusting a hardware store employee to cut it right. If they screw it up, they cant replace the blank. Make sure you ride the bike there and try it in all the locks before you leave.

+ demon...or get a OEM honda blank. I see some HONDA oem blanks popping up on eBay for great price. But if you want 100% sure....go to locksmith

I'm gonna go to the locksmith near my place tomorrow. Hopefully it doesn't break the bank.

Thanks.

Haha, I will take a pic if they have a truck/van out.

Just wondering, does anyone have any idea of what the cost usually is for a locksmith to make a spare?

Thanks guys

I used an eBay blank that I won for .16 cents shipped, got it cut at an ACE hardware, and it still works great. You really can't go wrong, with a price that low.
