regular silver stars kinda blow quick but i have the sliver star ultras and they are technicaly brighter (if u measure the light) but also last longer.

please do... those are pretty awesome, 6000K isn't that pretty hot for our housing? like i'm not sure what the specs on for voltage, etc. on our bikes. but that seems like a pretty bright light. how long have u had them for and how have they held up since then?

The K rating has nothing to do with light output or how hot the bulb gets. It's only a measure of the color temperature of the light, AKA the color output. 10,000K = blue and 5,000K = white. I have 10,000K HID's in mine.

US market sylvania's suck...
i'd head over to euro line with philips +50 or overseas silverstars by osram.
been running one philips foul weather (yellowish) and one osram silverstar (whitish) since 2003. 35K later still running same bulbs.

They are good so far, they are probably not as lumenous as HID's, I havent seen HID kit next to them so I am not sure how they are compared to them. The color looks very nice and it is brighter than the previous regular bulbs I had in them.I am stuck at school right now though, but once I get home I will snap some shots for you.
