Default Battery question

Hey guys, I think it's time for a new battery. It doesn't seem to be able to keep a charge after riding. I'll charge with a charger and after a couple of dies of no use the bike won't be able to start. I rode it around yesterday for the first time this season and after a short trip it to the gas station it wouldn't start after i got back.

I went to auto-zone to pick one up and they guy said that I need to get a "special custom order" one for 140, where the 600 rr one is 60 bucks. Is this true or is the guy just following standard rip-off-the-customer protocol?

Thanks,
-Paul

i think the guy is trying to rip you off. I am pretty sure the f4i and 600rr both utilize the type of battery. model 10S

they are not lying about the special order or the price yuasa are very expensive..the 600rr and f4i using different batteries is BS tho..i opted to get one off ebay for 50 shipped to my door...i figured 3 of these would out last one yuasa for the price and it seems to be working just the same as my yuasa battery did

Wow... None of you guys have a specialty battery shop where you live? I've got like 3 in my town and I just walk in there with my battery, plop it on the counter, and 2 mins later they come back with the same battery. $35, see you next time.

I paid $150 for my battery . . . but it's an 8-cell LiFePo that's about 1/4 the size and weight of the stock battery

Can be had for cheap on ebay, save a little money if you don't mind the wait on shipping. Otherwise just get the 600 RR one, they are the same.

Sure it's the battery and not the regulator/rectifier?
