Default Barnett clutch issue

Hello I’m having a problem with my clutch my old clutch was slipping in the high rpms and I replaced it with a new Barnett clutch installed correctly and it’s still slipping in the high rpms I think I need a new clutch cable because it’s stretched to almost max tightness so I think that’s the problem if you think any other reason please share

A stretched cable would be the opposite symptom. You would not be able to fully disengage the clutch and would want to jump forward when shifting from neutral to 1st gear. If by stretched, you mean there is no slack in the cable and clutch lever, then either the cable is routed improperly, or it's the wrong one and too short. This would be a slipping situation.

No I mean it’s the stock cable on a 01 600f4i never been changed I get what ur saying though what do you think would cause the clutch to be slipping when I give the bike about half throttle in any gear when I’m starting from a complete stop my clutch doesn’t feel like a whole lots there and I get some clutch grabbing towards the end

Does your clutch lever have any play in it when your hand is not on it?

There’s not any but my clutch adjuster screws almost out as far as it can go by my lever so maybe I need to make a major adjustment by the clutch arm

If you don't have any play in the lever, then your clutch is only partially engaged. It will cause premature wear and slipping. It would be a shame to ruin that brand new clutch.

That must be my problem then. I’ll have to mess with it tomorrow and hopefully that will fix my slipping issue if not I will be back lol. Thanks for the help!
