Default Back in the Saddle!

Finally, almost 1.5 years after my old F3 was stolen, I'm the proud owner of a very low mileage (7,7xx), very unbeaten-on 2001 F4i. Needless to say, I'm thrilled. The bike is pretty much exactly how I want it. The only things I'm going to do immediately is install frame sliders and maybe heated hand grips for the winter, and remove those ghetto-looking Yoshimura decals. I'll definitely take it very easy since I've hardly ridden the past year and a half, and as soon as I can in the spring, I'll take the MSF experienced rider course again, just to brush up, and because getting the discount on my car and bike insurance requires safety training every three years.

I was considering getting something else, maybe an SV650 twin or KLR650 thumper, but taking them out for test rides convinced me that I'm not happy unless I'm on a CBR.

$3,000 including toolkit, Haynes Manual, tires <500 miles old, etc.

I figured $3k was a psychological barrier the seller wouldn't want to cross, and it was worth it to avoid prolonged haggling so I could stop shopping and start riding.

Not a bad deal, good luck with the bike, looks great. How did your F3 get stolen, just curious on the details.

take care of theft security before anything else. u dont want to get the frame sliders installed and then get the whole bike stolen, do u? my f4i was stolen in september and i've put over a grand in it after i bought it. it had no alarm and i had just liability on it so i didnt get a dime for it. my new bike got a good alarm and full coverage. AND DONT GET THE NO-CUT FRAME SLIDERS! for those that know me on here, you know what i mean. my no-cuts caused the engine to crack and now im stuck trying to replace the damaged parts. i happen to learn the hard way sometimes.
