Default APE question

Ok so I got my APE Manual CCTL and I read the guide of how to change the CCTL but cannot find a guide for the APE.

Only question i really have about it is: Do I remove the gasket from the old one or do I need to leave it on there....b/c my APE did not come with a gasket.

Also will have my fuel pressure regulator in Friday. Will be putting the APE in, the new FPR on and mounting my frame sliders while I'm at it.

I received a new gasket with mine. I would call and ask, maybe they forgot to include it? And there is a youtube video of someone adjusting the CCT.Can't find it for some reason.

When I did mine I bought the gasket separately...it wasn't included with the CCT. They sell a gasket for their CCT, get it, it's cheap.

I have the APE cct installed. It didn't come with a gasket so I just made one with RTV.

Mine didn't come with it. So I ordered one from the same website. You need to have one on before you install the APE

Ordered two gaskets...

~~ well S.O.B. looked in the freq asked f4i questions section and found my answer to oem online parts stores closer to me, found two online parts stores in NC...to late for what I've already ordered but will be buying from them in the future

-- Also I found a video of a 600rr showing how to adjust it, wish ours was as accessible as the 600rr.

Got my gaskets in but can't find a 5mm hex head 1/4 inch socket anywhere to save me. Harbor Freight, Lowes, Home Depot.....going to try walmart and sears tomorrow and if no luck I'm taking it to the dealership and having them do it Friday.

Just get one of those converters, I got them stepping down from 1/2" and up from 3/8" makes life easy when you have shiesty sockets like me.

I would but the problem is only a 1/4 drive will fit through the whole in the frame that goes to the bottom bolt. I can't even find the 5mm bits around here, was going to use just the bit in a small enough socket but it was in none of the stores around me.

Went ahead and tried walmart and sears to no avail, would have to order online and well I'm sick of looking at my bike pulled apart. So i put it all back togethor, emailed the dealer and told them to set me an appointment to drop my bike off to have the thing put in. May have them throw on my Fuel Pressure Regulator too, since they will have my tank off.

I tried using a T27 torx bit since it is 4.99 mm but it wouldn't work either.
