man id even be afraid to put gas in that thing for fear of dripping a drop on that paint. looks good man.

 

yeah mine are painted, do it it cleans the bike up so much, those stock ones are ugly as hell

Thanks guys I am doing the split seat swap and going to put my intake covers, tail, rear seat cap, and undertail in to get painted all at once. And those that provide pics thanks alot that made my mind up and the bikes look great. Hell of a paint job on the black good work man. Thanks again

 

Painted my old ones flat black...

 

i used to do this w/ my car, its seems to me it is a plastic. I would sand it, then use Krylon fushin (few layers). its a spray can, but it stick great to plastic, and will look just as good as the ones seen in this thread. just my .02, might do this one soon

Krylon Fusion+(3-4 Coats) = SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!

 

You can sand them smooth w/ a 320 grit then prime them. Be sure to use a flexible primer so the paint doesn't crack later.

 

Proper prep is the key. Especially make sure to get any and all waxes off.
