I have an 06 F4i...this is in under the seat on the left side towards the back.

Hmm im actually not sure. I dont think my 01 has one of those in that spot from memory. You can always take it out, strap a timer to it, and leave it in a suspicious package in a public place then just sit back and watch the news. Im sure theyll tell say what it actually was.
maybe take a look in a service manual, looks like the 01-03 f4i has starter relay switch and PGM-FI Fuse Holder/Fuse Box in that area but your pictures doesn't look like that to me, but i'm no expert, good luck
hmmm ill see if i can look it up
I believe its the pgm-fi unit? Programmed Fuel Injection Unit. Are there 2 connectors that plug into it?

My God... Diagrams like that make me afraid of wiring.
That's the diagnostic connector.... you jump the two wires together and turn the key on, and it will flash out any stored codes using the FI light

In a way I can't wait for that white sh*t to come from the sky so I can get started on my own... but then, this is the third day in a row that reached sixty plus- Now I'm riding to the bank and off to hit the only decent local twisty road around (and hoping those that live on it aren't ready to call the 5-0 yet cuz I'm about the only bike left out there)
