Default Anyone else have a hard time installing the front wheel?

Well i went to put my front wheel back on and i was wondering if anyone has a hard time taking the axle out and putting it back in. I had to rubber hammer the axle back in and it was a PITA. Is this normal or something is messed up? Pulling it out wasnt easy either. The rear seems a bit easier.

Did you loosen up the two bolts at the bottom of each fork tube? Plus you should grease the axle pretty good before installing it.

Yea they were both loosened up. It went all the way thru easily then when it came to the bigger part it was a PITA. Im not going to lube it yet my tires are on backorder so now i have to wait. Is it supposed to slide right in easily?

It's kind of like the rear.Unless the axle is bent!

Yea i think ill go down and try that. i did raise the front forks back up cuz the previous owner had it dropped. Could it be a problem that maybe one of the forks is 1mm off from the other? But i dont see how that could happen since the wheel and axle were in there when i did that.

That could bend it or should i take it all apart again and move it back 1mm. It might not even be that much. They both look dead even to me though. Ill go downstairs in a bit and take the front wheel off again.

Just measure it at the tripple clamp where the forks come out the top, thats less of a hassel than removing the wheel to measure.
