anybody own 2 bikes?
Hello all, just wanted to get some feedback, I was thinking about tracking my bike next year and maybe picking up a sport/tour like a yamaha fz1 (used 07 or 06), I guess my question is does anybody successfully track their bike and keep it street legal? an fz1 in my opinion would also be better for the long rides, Ive been going back and forth on this for a while, any input that would sway me to one side or another would be greatly appreciated, also anybody out there with 2 bikes, is it practical? do you ride them both are does one sit?

RE: anybody own 2 bikes?
Shouldn't be any probs switching between street and track days on an F4i, I do it all the time. Racing is another issue though because therequirements (bodywork, safety wire, etc.) are a lot more involved and you WILL go down, probably several times. Plus the F4i is not competetive with the newer 600's.

i have 2, haven't started the track thing yet but intend too. only got the 1k because of the great deal and before i was interested in track. ever since i got it, i feel the need to enjoy what a sport bike has to offer. and that is best to do on a track. but yeah thats why i pulled my ads for my duc off after realizing i couldn't or maybe wouldn't test its limits on the street. too many crazies out on the road and don't wanna tango with 1 or end up to be 1.

One of mine tends to sit for awhile beforeI start paying it more attention.
Practical? Probably not. Both mine are street bikes and cost's are my problem between insurance and up-keep.Plus I spend what seems like every freaking weekendchanging oil on the 2 bikes and the twochicken cages. Oh well....can't part with either.

They are both 05's.
The black one has more aftermarket stuff on it. Aside from the cosmetic parts, it has a 2 Bros pipe, Vortex adjustable rearsets, PCIII. It's also set up with the GP shift pattern. This one sees the track
The red one is basically stock.
They are both a blast to ride - my wife prefers the black one so it's a footrace to the keys.
