Well sounds like you need to do your homework on bikes in general as well as this bike - not sure what you mean about flush headlights and fairings closed. not a knock just saying this isn't clear / accurate.

an 02 F4i with 4300 miles is low - I wouldn't worry about a track day or two if the guy kept it in good condition. These things are meant to be run. That would be like not buying a used corvette because the gun did a few rolling 3rd gear burn outs.
And we all know the only reason you buy a Vette is for the ability to do rolling 3rd gear burnouts.

Anyways $3,500 seems reasonable for a low mileage, good shape bike. If its a friend and it has some road rash I'd try to talk him down some though.

so by flush do u mean non existant?...track fairings dont have holes cut out for lights....so i dont think u can even ride that on the street

Umm....my fiance just walked in on me looking at my laptop upside down and the look on her face was priceless..

+1....just happened with to me but with my friend

but anyway yeah no headlights=not street legal.....unless you never ever ride at night

Headlights have nothing to do with riding at night. A headlight is required on all motorcycles ridden on the street day or night. It's been that way since 1978.
