It is not a bad deal but I agree with heyitsmelam that you should offer $3K or heck maybe even $2800. The reason being is that it does have road rash on both sides, It does have 15K miles which is by no means a lot but there are a lot of F4i's out there with less and you will need to put a new front tire and probably a new rear tire on it. I am also not sure what he means by "cooler than stock rear seat conversion" If it is an 03' than that seat is stock. My only advise is to do your research and be patient. I did not do that when I bought mine. I saw it and just had to have it no if ands or buts about it. Paid $4K for it which I didn't think was horrible. It had a pipe, hugger and undertail already. Then my brother goes out and does his research and finds a 04' R6 that is probably one of the cleanest bikes I have ever seen with 6K and paid the same price as I paid for mine and the icing on the cake is everything about his bike is smoother. Ever since day 1 I have had problems with mine. I had to put a new water pump in it, It stalled on me 3 times due to an electrical problem, which I believe I have fixed now, but if I would have done my research and inspected the bike closer I would have caught that it needed a new pump and the wiring was routed wrong which is never a good sign. Don't get me wrong I am not trying to sell you on the R6. I love my F4i and will always promote Honda. Just saying the moral of the story is be patient, do research and buy a bike that you will love and maybe test ride a few to see what suite you the best. Good luck!

is it sunny all the time or dark all the time now? kidding.
$3k sounds like a decent price for the condition. go check it out before you commit. meet at a local mechanic shop or bring someone knowledgeable.
be honest with you, deals come and go. i luckily ended up with a steal for my bike but it could've easily been the other way. best thing to do is be patient about these kinds of purchases. then again, i don't know how patient you can be given your location and what's available to you.
