About rear shocks
Hi everyone, I'm a recent owner of a 2007 Honda CBR600 f4i. Since I bought it, I've noticed that the rear suspension isn't working correctly. The question is whether it's worth reconditioning the rear suspension for around €200 or buying a new one.
Does the reconditioned original shock work properly?, or is there an aftermarket option that improves the performance of the original shock without having to spend €800 on an Ohlins?
Thank you all in advance for your help.

My main question is whether, despite the original still working fine, it's worth upgrading after over 20 years of design. I'm curious about the improvements a new, even cheaper, model might offer
For what its worth a fully reconditioned unit should be more than up to the job and were designed for the bike.
Unless you are going high end then they are as good if not better than anything else out there. The fundamentals have not changed over the years until the advent of electronic shocks tied to IMU / ABS etc.
