Nice. Blue is definitely one of my favorite F4i schemes. Also, for being aftermarket, your plastics actually fit pretty decent.

See the "PMG-FI" below the F4-I logo on your side fairings? Thats not stock for US F4Is. PMG-FI is the designation for F4Is overseas. You also see it on alot of aftermarket ebay fairings.

This is stock. Notice no PMG-FI on the side.

Also looks like your tank was repainted(no stripe, or Honda wing). The previous owner could have removed the clear to debadge the tank, then recleared, but that makes no sense. I'm thinking the bike was either dropped damaging the tank, original plastics and possibly scuffing up the frame(which is now polished).

Or maybe he/she just wanted to change their bike blue?

He said he dropped it. I hope I didn't buy a pig with lipstick on it.

I didnt mean to worry you. My plastics are also aftermarket from the previous owner(which I wasn't aware of at the time), and my bike is as solid and smooth as they come-

I wouldnt overthink it. The fact that he was upfront about the bike being dropped does speak volumes.

Based on that alone, I would guess he dropped it at low speed and did everything he could to get it back in shape cosmetically the best he could. I'd have done the same.

You'd be suprised at what even a very low speed oopsie can do to plastics and tank. If its not leaking and it tracks true, I wouldnt sweat it too much.

Oh also, the fact that he found the bike worthy enough to spend the $$ for new plastics in the first place(which is not cheap even for aftermarket) tells me its not a pig. Also he was upfront about the drop, so it couldnt have been too serious.

Looks like the PO took the bike completely apart to chrome out the frame and swingarm.
Have you checked if frame and engine number match?

I haven't. Would that indicate stolen or rebuilt?

He said it was dropped at low speed in a gravel/grass driveway. Seemed like an honest guy.....but you guys are helpful and making me paranoid at the same time. Paid $3300 for it, 9k miles. Seems right, right?
